Shepherd Kauohilo Lainaholo, 87, of Hilo died Oct. 19 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a retired laborer and member of Laborers’ International Union of North America Local 368 Hawaii and Kuhio Chapel in Keaukaha. Visitation 5-9 p.m. Friday (Nov. 24) at Haili Congregational Church. Wake service at 7 p.m. Visitation again 9-10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 25) at the church. Funeral service at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park. Casual attire. Survived by daughters, Zelda (Kendall) Kelson of Hilo, Junedale Lainaholo and Leonetta Lainaholo of California and Joni Bonilla of Hilo; brother, Robert (Dorothy) Leong of Oahu; 12 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Kathryn Kimiko Une, 81, of Pepeekeo died Nov. 11 at Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Care Center. Born in Hilo, she worked for Bank of Hawaii and was a member of Tenrikyo Kaka‘ako Church. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by husband, Satoru Une of Pepeekeo; sons, Terrence (Martina) Une of Honolulu and Michael (Lori) Une of Hilo; daughter, Cheryl Une of Seattle; brother, Roy (Thelma) Okino of Honolulu; sisters, Doris (David) Suzuki of Honolulu and Jane (Michiwo) Hanashiro of Hilo; three grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
